OUR SERVICES: DESIGNING AND CREATING CUSTOM-MADE MASCOTS AND PROMOTIONAL COSTUMES
What: Rainbow Productions designs and creates high-quality, custom-made costumes for clients in all sectors. Costumes are commissioned by clients to help represent their brands, or a corporate identity, or for use during a specific campaign(s). The result is eye-catching, interactive branding used by clients in the U.K., Europe and worldwide. We also create puppets and POS props.
Where: Promotional costumes can be used in a variety of situations, depending upon the client’s objectives. Examples of uses include in-store personal appearances to act as mobile and interactive branding; within retail and shopping centre tours as part of brand experience and brand awareness campaigns; for press and photo opportunities and as added value and entertainment for families.

OUR SERVICES: PERSONAL APPEARANCES OF CARTOON CHARACTERS
What: Rainbow Productions represents over 90 famous licensed characters on behalf of rights owners such as Warner Bros., Twentieth Century Fox and the BBC. These characters are offered to clients for Meet and Greet personal appearances as well as some characters being available to book for enhanced activities such as stage shows and narrations. Examples of characters in our portfolio include: Homer Simpson, Bob the Builder and Scooby-Doo.
When you book a licensed character appearance, this service includes:
- The official approved licensed character and all royalties due on the appearance.
- Professionally trained character performers who will bring the character to life and portray the brand during the event day(s).
- An experienced Road Manager who will dress the character, look after the character and ensure the appearances run as smoothly as possible.
- Five character appearances throughout the day to fit in with your schedule (4 x 40 minutes and 1 x 30 minute appearances).
- Liaison between our Operations/Events Team and the venue to confirm arrival time, contact details, changing room requirements, specific instructions.
- All travel and accommodation costs (where applicable) and any other related costs.
- Supply of the approved, copyrighted imagery/logos –essential to pre-promote the character visit – and an approvals service for publicity materials, undertaken on behalf of the copyright owners.
- £5 million public liability insurance for our character performers and Road Managers.
Where: Characters are exclusively available through Rainbow Productions to book for personal appearances in the UK. We also represent a handful of characters under licence for personal appearances in Europe and the Middle East.
Why: A visit from a famous children’s character – especially when pre-advertised using the official copyrighted imagery – offers a relatively low-cost way of attracting increased footfall on the day and brings a whole host of associated benefits.
