Peppa Pig in-store appearances help ASDA raise money for Tommy’s
On January 29th 2010 Peppa Pig visited ASDA in Greenhithe, Kent to help raise money for Tommy’s – The Baby Charity.
Peppa helped attract increased footfall to the superstore, with queues of excited children and their parents arriving to meet her. A donation of £1 was suggested in exchange for a photograph with the lovable pig, with all proceeds going to Tommy’s.
The store also had a range of Peppa Pig merchandise on sale, including balloons, clothing and Easter eggs, with 75% of sales on the day also going towards the good cause.
Later in the day Rainbow Productions also managed the personal appearances of Peppa Pig at ASDA in Chatham, followed by promotional in-store character appearances at ASDA in Gravesend on January 30th.
